How a Non-Muslim girl can be converted Muslim

This is third I am asking this question. Can anybody help me?

My Brother-in-Law is interested in getting married to a Non-Muslim girl.

The girl is ready to converted to Muslim and her parents have no objections for this.

Is there a specific way to convert her to Muskim.

And is there a need of Affidavit to be sworn for her convertion in India.

Can anybody help me on this?

As far as my knowledge goes, all she has to do is say the Shahada and she will be converted. However, if she wants to legalise her conversion and also legalise the marriage (as per the Muslim Personal Law Board of India), she can file an affidavit for her conversion. You can write to Muslim Personal Law board to get more information on this. Their contact details are on http://www.aimplboard.org/.

Additionally, you can get more information from the local mosque.
