I mean how do you read this? .....Qur'an 59:24 ...What does the numbers represent ?

Salaam,

That means the 54th surrah, 24th aya in the Quran.

So you would look for the 54th surrah is Ar-Rahman and then go to the 24th aya...

His are the ships that sail like mountains on the sea.

Actually surah ar-rahman is surah 55 not 54 thats surah al-qamar

The translation I have of 59:24 goes like this

He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor of all things, the Bestower of forms. To Him belong the Best Names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him. And he is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
