After offering zuhar salah brother a> was sitting in mosque.
He saw a young brother b> coming into mosque and starting offering Zuhar Salah (may be sunnat or fard salah).
As second brother started offering salah, brother a> was taken by surprise to find the way brother b was offering salah. He was offering as he was very much in hurry. After ruku, the brother did not stand properly and not even for sufficient time that he went for sajdah. After completing first sajdah hardly he had sit properly that he went for 2nd sajdah. So fast he was offering salah that it reminded of the hadees of prophet in which he told that “worst type of theft is theft in Salah”.
Dear brothers and sisters, above mentioned situation is very very common – especially among youth.
Don’t know why, people have misconception that offering salah means to complete various postures of salah without giving its due rights.
Many of us offer salah without remembering that during Salah , we have to keep in mind that Allah is seeing us, so we should be focused to salah. It is an unfortunate thing that – meditation or having concentration is an aspect of deen which is shunned by muslims and adopted by non muslims.
That is why prophet told that when u offer salah then think that u r seeing Allah, if u can’t do this then think that Allah is seeing u.
We seldom care for this. When we stand for we read surah so fast that our sole intention is to complete the surah and immediately go to ruku. We don’t even ponder over the meaning we are uttering or imam is uttering. We don’t bother at all to learn Arabic so that we can understand the meaning. At least we should learn the meaning of small surah.
After that we go for ruku & in ruku we don’t stand properly. We should take care that our back should make right angle with our legs.
(No where I am going into details of fiqh or maslak, all I am writing are general things which every1 will agree)
In ruku we should stand so that we can comfortably recite dua.
After ruku-whether u offer any dua or not but plz at least stand for sufficient time. I feel very sorry to find even imams of mosques that they go for sajdah immediately after ruku. THERE must be sufficient time as some people read dua.
Similar is the case between two sajadh. At this point I have much complain. No time is given between two sajdah so that a person can easily & comfortably sit and recite dua.
Please, let all of us have a second thought at our salah. We shall see if we are offering salah or we r the thief of salah. Prophet told that salah of those who do so will be thrown on them.
And now come the most important part- the crux of the topic. We shall ask –“Is my life changing becz of salah? Am I going away from sinful things? Am I moving more towards deen?
Allah says in Quran that verily Salah keeps u away from the sinful things. If we are not moving away from sinful acts then either this Ayah is wrong (nauzbillah) or or or….. our salah is not actually Salah Quarn demands from us. Please read above 2 sentences 4-5 times. It is something to be seriously pondered upon.
So please pray Salah as it has been ordered by Allah.
Remember some keypoints:
1. Offer 5 time salah till your last breathe.
2. No compromise with salah except within the bound of shariah
3. Offer salah the way prophet offered. Do research on this or ask those who have knowledge.
4. Before offering salah, understand that Allah is watching u.
5. Try to have maximum concentration during salah. Ponder over the meaning of quranic verses recited or dua u recite.
6. Give sufficient time during two sajdah.
7. Do ruku & sajdah propely. Don’t hurry for anything.
8. Before approaching towards sin remember that Allah is watching u even then. Even if u do anything haram where no human being is watching- Allah is still watching u & u will be held accountable for ur deeds.
