But now I changed my mind and don't want it anymore, it was supposed to represent evil (black color) and good (white color).

Jazakom Allah khairan, looking forward to see your ideas -if you can think of anything islamc, it would be great!! :SMILY288:

Welcome back Brother Osman. Your off and on quite a bit!

About the choice that you have made about the yin yang, there are many views on that. I have studied it quite in depth as part of my university assignment. It is a good choice that you have made as like you said it covers both good and bad. My opinion is that you should stick with this choice. And I will explain that below.

The two colours are merely oppositions and the Chinese believe in this. The dark side of the yin yang represents females as dark, negative, passive and absorbing. However, in stark contrast, the white area of the yin yang represents the male as light, active, firm and positive. The dots in the larger part represent the fact that males and females have some aspects of one another in themselves. However, there is also a positive side to this notion as females and males are not entirely separated. They possess equal parts within the circle which accentuates that they are equally important and they come together to form a whole which is represented by the shape of the circle. Also they are not separated by a rigid straight line, which means they flow and blend in together and depend upon one another.

I used the above in my oral presentation at unversity and believe me, I did quite well. Hope you do too. Aameen.

i didn't know the above, intersting!!!

you may also include something from islamic perspective (dawa :) ) about how Adam and Eve were created (as Eve is part of Adam)... as humans do sins and good deeds... Adam and Eve may do different good/bad deeds... I guess, Humans them self may have good and evil... after one may do a bad deed, he/she tries to come back and do good deed, the same cycle goes around... Interesting topic!!!

Yes it is quite interesting. Indeed, there are good and bad in everything, and before studying it in depth at university, I only knew that the yin yang meant that there is a little good and bad in everything.

Good and Bad are merely oppositions. And everything has its opposite, so one becomes superior and the other inferior, and thus one is good and one is less good (or evil).

Yes Brother, that is indeed the cirlce of life. If we commit evil, we must repent. The best among us are those that repent for our mistakes and do not repeat them.

As-salaamu'alaykum wa Rahmatu Llahi wa Barakatuhu,

Humm.. interesting assignment, what class is this for??

The Yin Yang explanation that mesbah01 gave is very, very interesting. It does sound like a good choice to go with.

I thought of the Television (or media.. if you can represent it as a picture).. but I really think the t.v. represents good and bad, you can learn either from it - sometimes without even realizing it. - sorry if it's a cheesy example.. I'll keep thinking.

Or.. 'wind'? (or rain .. since it's easier to draw) - It's a blessing, but can also be distructive.

Okay..okay.. I'll keep thinking! :D

Wa'alaykum as-salaam
