I have a blog.

Salem Frank,

I think the blog is a splendid idea, mesha Allah. I like also that you call yourself muslimamerican, rather that the other way round, as the Muslim bit should come before the nationality. Well done. I can see now why Allah gave you such a high IQ, to serve Him and Islam. I'm sure, inshallah, you are a gift to us from Allah. Certainly, on a personal level, I have already felt the impact of your reversion.

Subhana Allah, all of Allah's creatures praise Him, like the little bird who "prays" with you each morning. When I was last in the UK, I could hear the pigeons cooing, as if they were saying "Allahu akbar". And here in Tunisia, I (and my son) saw the word "Allah" written in a cloud early in the morning (in Arabic)!!!! Allah's signs are all around us....if we simply open our hearts to Him!

Alhamdoulillah for everything!!!!

Salem.

Leave the world to those who hanker after it, as they leave the Afterlife to its seekers. And be in this world as the bee: it eats only good, produces only good, and when it rests upon anything it neither ruins it nor deflowers it.” ibn Qayyim

As Salmu 'Alaykum,

Brother Ayman, The link is obviously generated randomly because when I just visited so I could see to what link you were referring, it now directs you to a Rabbi. Perhaps because I quoted Deuteronomy from the present day English Torah.

I see I am going to have to start proof reading my posts as I typed a "they" where I was thinking "thy."

Brothers and Sisters, thank you for the kind words. I have to admit that over the years my IQ seems to have dropped and if MENSA ever requires retesting I will have to turn in my card. :) Also, in addition to the broken vertebraes in my lumbar and cervical spine, I now have some rather large painful lumps in my neck under my ears which the doctor said he would examine on my next semi-annual visit. I am not complaining. Well, I guess I am, but I don't mean to do so. I just wanted to explain why sometimes it my seem like I am off my mark a little or that I am in a bad mood. The truth is that I have never been happier. I honestly found myself thanking Allah for the pain and asking Him to make me appreciate how relatively little I have had in my life compared to the rest of the world's population. Also, I am learning so much from each of you. I don't comment as much as I should on other threads, but I do read them and learn from them.

Speaking of other threads, I hope you all had the opportunity to view the videos I embedded in the Section of current affairs "Other Videos." My reason is that no one regardless of their status in the government should feel that they are above the law.

There was another video where a non-Muslim girl was given the opportunity to visit a Muslim School. She honestly expressed her fears and the confusion that she felt over the stereotyping that she had heard and she seemed to come away with a positive image of the Muslim girls in her class. It was a little difficult to watch as the girl only wore hijab during her time in the school and she was a little too honest in her explanation as as to the modesty issue for females praying behind males. So, I didn't link to it, but all in all I wish more people were as honest and open about what they think and feel about us.

As Salamu 'Alaykum,

Thanks brother for the suggestions. I never blogged; consequently, I didn't know it was possible to changed the appearance. I couldn't find a function to disable the links. Hopefully, Insha 'Allah, you can give me more details on how to do that. I added a new posting. If you don't mind, let me know how it is. Did anyone else notice how often I begin a sentence with a prepositional phrase and my overuse of semicolons?
