I need your dua's for my son and I

Assalamu alakium brothers and sisters,

I pray you are all in good health and iman. I am asking for your dua's for my son and I. I am leaving my husband after 4 years of marriage due to alcohol abuse among other issues. I had to go get him from work he was so intoxicated. I am not sure what comes next for my son and I but I know Allah will provide for us. This was a hard decision to break up my family but I can not stand the drunkenness and I don't want my son to see his father like that. Inshallah we will be ok and it will as painless as possible.

I do have a question,

did you decide on your own that you will leave him based on him engaging with intoxicants?

I highly recommend that you speak to a sheik and local masjid, to see if they can assist you. As easy as it seems to depart from marriage, I am worried that the child may be affected by this. Perhaps if your husband sees you are serious about leaving him because of his disobedience, he may give it up and work hard to stay with you and even become a better muslim. By the end of the day, you may add up much reward from Allah for making your husband change to the way of Allah.
