:salam2:
i hope you are all fine and all your families.
it´s not too late to have a scholar in your family or at least a seeker of knowledge, i think one of the ´best ways to raise our children is to make them -even if they are very young- know the biographies of the greatest personnalities in islam, the Prophets , the Sahaba and the scholars, to make them love them, and to make them want from therself to become scholars or seeker of knowledge, i dont have anything against wanting the own child to become a doctor, a IT-specialist or an ingenieur, but i think we should not forget how wonderfull it could be if ur child becomes a Muhaddith like Ibn Hajar or Albanee or a great scholar like Ibn Taymya , Ibn Hanbal or al Utheymin rahimahumullah, especially if you make him love those great people and when you ask him weeks or months later : child, what do u want to become in the future ? and ur hear this answer : i wan to be a Muhaddith like Albanee, i want to spread the hadith of the Prophet Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam everywhere in the world,i want to belong to those who live for the Aakhira( thereafter).

It´s possible, believe me, of course only if Allah will, but everyone should work on it, pray Allah day and night and raise the children on the way of Coran and Sunna, and who knows....who knows... maybe :).
Take all care

Inshallah if allah want then i want to be like imame muhaddith ibn hajar(rh). To follow some scholar of last centuries is a little bit problem for me.

Imam Ibn Taymiya (ra) in Raf’ al-Malam says, “If we were believe that the all the Ahadith of Rasulullah (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) were confined to books, then no Alim knows all that is written in books and nor is it possible for anyone to know all. Instead, at times a person has many books with him but does not know all which it contains. In fact, those who came before the compilation of these books were much more knowledgeable than those that came afterwards. This is due to many Ahadith were authentic in there time but reached to us through an unknown narrator, or with a broken change, or did not reach us at all…Their books were their hearts which contained many folds more than what is contained in these [present] books. And this is something that a person with some understanding of the matter has not the slightest doubt. (Ahtar al-Hadith al-Shareef p. 173& 186Dar al-Basha’ir al-Islamiya)

:wasalam:
Can someone let me know how a person becomes a Muhaddith.:inshallah:
Does the person need to learn all the Hadith's and understand it and propogate it?
JazzakAllahu khairan.

Salaam,

I am planning to begin clinicals in Chicago later this year, Inshallah, and have considered looking into the Alimah school there. The offer part time classes which I can probaby squeeze into my weekends and some week nights. Inshallah when I have children I want to enroll them into a hafiz school around 5-6 years old and then an Islamic school for their regular studies.

I know this sounds like a lot of pressure to put on kids but their brains are literally sponges and they are very open to knowledge. I want to take advantage of this fact before adolescents hits and it become a struggle.

Wasalaam
