im confused....

Salaams to all,...I know this is somthing I shud have paid more attention to b4 I need to under stand how the months of islam are I am familiar with the names, but they rotate differently?? I thought of this jus a minute ago when I asked my Ibn, "wasnt Ramadan in sept last year?" and the year b4 in August, but the year b4 I think in july??? I know it was summer.... please sum one shed light...inshallah.:ma:

im not an expert on this but i am pretty sure islamic calender is 10 day shorter than the roman calender we use, so each other the ramadan and eid are 10 days early
