Is Britain heading towards a ban on wearing veils?

A review into whether NHS staff in England should be allowed to wear full-face veils is to be carried out to ensure that patients have "appropriate face-to-face contact". The move comes after a judge earlier this week ruled that a Muslim woman must remove her veil while giving evidence in court. Downing Street has suggested it supports the possibility of bans on Muslim veils in public institutions after an MP called for a "national debate". Wearing full-face veils in public is banned in several European countries. In this video report Gavin Ramjaun asks whether Britain is heading in the same direction.

I do not think this is the case.. I also do not think that most people in the UK have any "negative" ideas about Muslims. Alhamdulillah. The UK is and in sha Allah will remain one of the more positive countries towards Muslims in Europe.

Things will get better when we can make a better effort at also reaching out to them, and giving them the right information about Islam and removing the misconceptions.
