is it halal to work in islamic finance

please let me know if islamic finance is halal as practised in the world.
which aspects are halal.
amd can any one make a career in it.
if yes which aspects could be least doubtful from islamic point of view

i dont know what its like in Uk but here in SA, there are "islamic banks" which are more or less the same as the rest.
the ulama have stated that as long as they do business on the model of kaafir banks, they cant be islamic.
these banks do have a few sections that just barely qualify as acceptable according to shariah.
i cant give you any details unfortunately, as i dont deal with them or know much about them.
my advice would be to look for an alternative career as its difficult to seperate the jaa'iz from non jaa'iz when working for them. you might earn less but u can have the peace of mind that your income is halaal.
