i learnt that Imam Bukhari (ra) took only 3,000 hadiths frm 600,000.
is it true? does that mean we are unaware of much hadith?

Sahih al-Bukhari contains only Sahih hadiths.
Sahih Muslim contains both Sahih and Hasan hadiths.
Other books such as Sunan Abu Dawood, Sunan at-Tirmidi etc contains Saheeh, Hassan and Da'eef Hadiths also. But all of them are very clearly explained and separated alhamdhulillah.
Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy upon him) said that he did not write a single hadith in his book before performing two rak'ahs, and make du'a. MashaAllah!
I am not sure about those values, but I am sure that he did not write many hadith which he was not 100% sure to be Sahih, in his book. That is the reason 'Sahih al-Bukhari' is considered as the second Holiest Book on the earth today, from the Ijma' of 'Ulama.
No brother we are not unaware (here WE means 'Ulama of the Ummah) of many hadiths. This is a huge part of 'Ilm in Islam.

I do not remember how many hadhiths. But yep he did leave many. It is something we have to be glad. Because his standards are so strict and we find the authentic hadhees in his saheeh. So we are unawre of those which he saw unfit times even fabrications. The method he used can be completely appreciated by some one specially specialised in the field of Uloomul Hadhees.

What question do you have? Islam has the right answer. Islam is not a good religon but it is only one religion that lead you to paradise.
The christian missionaries tried their best to falsify ISLAM by putting questions and questions. Ahmad Dedar, Zakir Naik, and many other scholars in the past and present fioled their mission by giving more rational, logical and convincing answers.
Having being defeated the enemy of islam is now trying to put doubt about the originality of HADITH and QUARAN in the hearts of Muslims. Yes, for sure the disbeliever will be once again shamefully defeated By ALLAH (SAW) no doubt.

As for me, the answer is No. wallah it is more than enough. But we have here different people with different levels of understandings. Some will not realise an aspect unless explained by some one with an easy to follow examples. Unless the person's faith reaches to certain level like the confidence you have shown, he will have some problems. It is others duty to help them.

Abslolutely right AlQurthubi. Since the questioner asked about Bhukari. But we get wealth of information from other books. I am with you. But in general all the scholars have great methods of the categorising the hadheeth that there is no need to worry about the other narrations among them often times outright fabrications.

I think the brother was trying to tell is that Islam is not a good religion among the many religions since some think that there are many religions which include good ones and bad ones. I feel he is denying that and asserting that Islam is the only religion. The only religion the creator has set for the Human. So it will lead you to the paradise while other false man made ones will lead you to hell. Its a beautiful statement. Isam is not a good religion among many religions. He is not saying that islam is not a good religion but denying that islam is one among many religion.
