Is my Salah valid?

Assalamualaikum!

While I was praying 'Asr today I realised that the imam did not perform the 2nd rakaah. But I only realised it after giving the salaam.

Do i have to repeat the prayer?

You mean the imam completed only 3 rakaah? If you realised immediately after giving the salaam then you should rise and complete one more rakaah and repeat the salaam. Now you have to repeat your Asr salah.

Did you late on joins the Jamaat after the first Takbiratul Ihram has begun? or You just probably missed the first rakaah? If you accidentally late on performs the tasyahud awl then I'm quite certain that you didn't heard the Imam recited surah Al fatihah in the begining of salah.
