Assalamu alaykum,
I've been told that during salaah, the surahs in the 1st, 2nd rakah etc must be recited in order of the Quran. For example, if one recites Surah 112 in the first rakah, they must recite either surah 113 or 114 in the second rakah and cannot go back and recite surah 109.
However I've never seen any solid daleel on this, and in fact have seen evidence to the contrary, for example that Umar (Radhiallahu taala anhu) used to recite Surah Kahf in the first rakah and Surah Yoosuf or Yunus in the second rakah during his Fajr prayer.
So is there any daleel at all that surahs must be recited in order of how they appear in the Quran?
