I live in America and they always ask me about islamic conquests
and they said how come your leligion is calling for peace
would you please give me sources in english about this subject

A couple of examples, one from past, other from very recent past should suffice inshaAllah if someone has heart that turns to Truth.

Who forced the Mongols?
- After years of bloodshed, looting and plunder, Mongols were on the course of wiping-off Muslims from the face of the Earth and then suddenly Islam conquered them...they embraced Islam enmasse..

3,000 US Army soldiers accepted Islam during the first Iraq War. Was some Muslim forcing these soldiers of the Worlds most Powerful Nation which has nuclear bombs to annihilate the World 7 times over ?
