JIHAD

Why do you confuse Jihad with terrorism?
And call Islam a source of extremism?
Jihad means fighting and striving in God's way
With all of one's strength, but not to slay
The innocent ones, the women and children.
For defence purposes is Jihad meant to be fought
As, to all Muslims, in the Quran, it has been taught
By God Himself, Who surely shows the right ways.
And in the Quran, the True Book, He says,
"Fight in the way of Allah with those who fight against you."
The believers are taught, the ones that are true,
Never to fight Jihad to forcibly try and convert
Others to Islam as this would surely hurt
The regard for humanity that the Quran has set.
Muslims are further taught never to forget
That non-Muslims are not to be killed unjustly,
All humans have equal rights, most certainly.
Thus Jihad does not support bloodshed and unease,
As in the Quran, our Lord, the Mighty, decrees,
"Let there be no compulsion in religion."
Then why would terrorism, a Muslim not shun?

May Allah swt bless us all and accept our prayers and doa,insyAllah.let us all jihad for all goodness.insyAllah jihad is a must for all.jihad for peace and goodness.we have every religion to make us hate, but not enough to make us love one anothe there is a courtesy of the heart, it is allied to love. the purest courtesy in the outward behaviour, to be good. we have to practice,practice, practice, jihad jihad jihad, and we dont love something, then love Allah.a good heart is better than all the heads in the world we only need a heart full of love and grace. a soul generated by love.with one strong faith, one strong principle, we have been able to buil bridges of understanding. respect, support and kindness.we cant fight with fire,but we must put off the fire with water. to treat others the way, we like to be treated,to treat others the way we would like them to treat our children and parents.all we must have is our faith,and strong principle.it is the absolute golden rule to treat other the way we would like to be treated. we have to have an open mind to be tolerant and accept people for their difference, many years ago, i was invited to join a group of individuals that were of diverse faiths.these wonderful people, each have different beliefs and worship individually according to their faiths traditions, one thing that they all share is their faithS Version of the golden rule, this is the one thing that each faiths group has in common,from this one strong principle,we can have peace in the world. we must have not only goodness of the heart, but of strength of mind.ALLAUAKBAR LAAILAHAILALLAH MUHAMMADUR RASULULLAH SAW.

VERY nice poem series sis albint muslima. Jazakallah khairan. Striving for ALLAH be it Jihad al Nafs or fighting we must obey Allah at all times.

"And strive hard in (the way of) Allah, (such) a striving is due to Him; He has chosen you and has not laid upon you an hardship in religion; the faith of your father Ibrahim; He named you Muslims before and in this, that the Messenger may be a bearer of witness to you, and you may be bearers of witness to the people; therefore keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and hold fast by Allah; He is your Guardian; how excellent the Guardian and how excellent the Helper! (QURAN 22:78)

Salaam Alaiykum,

Regarding muslims that are now under occupation by others, they have EVERY RIGHT to fight against the occupier. And those who fight in such a cause are indeed high in ranking.

"And fight against the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) collectively as they fight against you collectively. But know that Allah is with those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious).'' (QURAN 9:36)
"Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know.'' (QURAN 2:216)
"March forth, whether you are light (being healthy, young and wealthy) or heavy (being ill, old and poor), and strive hard with your wealth and your lives in the Cause of Allah'' (QURAN 9:41)
"Verily, Allah has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties for (the price) that theirs shall be the Jannah. They fight in Allah's Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the Qur'an. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success.'' (QURAN 9:111)
"Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home), except those who are disabled (by injury or are blind or lame), and those who strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has preferred in grades those who strive hard and fight with their wealth and their lives above those who sit (at home). Unto each, Allah has promised good (Jannah), but Allah has preferred those who strive hard and fight, above those who sit (at home) by a huge reward. Degrees of (higher) grades from Him, and forgiveness and mercy. And Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.'' (QURAN 4:95, 96) --- Masha ALLAH,,, ALLAH has indeed promised the shuhadha a MIGHTY reward which is not possible for any other.
"O you who believe! Shall I guide you to a trade that will save you from a painful torment? That you believe in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad (PBUH)), and that you strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives: that will be better for you, if you but know! (If you do so) He will forgive you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow, and pleasant dwellings in `Adn (Eden) Jannah; that is indeed the great success. And also (He will give you) another (blessing) which you love: help from Allah (against your enemies) and a near victory. And give glad tidings (O Muhammad (PBUH)) to the believers.'' (61:10-13)

Beautiful verses stating plainly the rewards of the true mujahideen who fight occupation (palestine, chechnya, somalia, iraq etc etc)

May ALLAH make our fate to be among them AMEEN ya rabb al alameen.
