Do you know why the Christians are address as "al-Akhtal" in the video? Or it's a metaphor?

Wa iyyak, ukhti

al-Akhtal was a Trinitarian Christian (who believes in trinity principle). Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said that refuting the Ash'aris, who founded their aqidah regarding the Qur'an based on the speech of this al-Akhtal, using this as evidence.

Al-Akhtal said "Indeed speech is in the heart (self, soul) [in reality]. And the tongue is merely an indicator for what is in the heart."

Therefore, the Ash'aris said the Arabic Qur'an that we have is something created, and not the uncreated. They innovated what is called as the Kalaam lafdhee and Kalaam nafsee.

You can read the detailed explanation of that here - http://www.asharis.com/creed/articl...ri-maturidi-creeds-and-christian-theology.cfm
