Locusts! A BLESSING ???

Salam alaikum dear brother and sisters,

I've never thought of locusts as a blessing. Have you?? Plz have a look:

Volume 4, Book 55, Number 604:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet ( PBUH) said, "While Job was naked, taking a bath, a swarm of gold locusts fell on him and he started collecting them in his garment.

His Lord called him, 'O Job! Have I not made you rich enough to need what you see?]

He said, 'Yes, O Lord! But I cannot dispense with your Blessing."


MashaAllah! Would we do the same if we were in his place??
And how many blessings have we dispensed with???:astag:

Actually not, just wondering coz I think it takes a very high level of eman to consider this as a blessing, though I did see a friend of mine at haram Mecca do the same thing when the wing of a locust fell on her lap. She got extremely happy and said "look what Allah has sent me!!!" Some people though do receive what can be very clearly seen as blessings and don't refer it to Allah swt or even bother to thank Him for it.
