Looking for a muslim community with good public schools closer to New York City

Assalamu Alaikum,

I live upstate New York with a commute of 2 hours from home to work; basically 4 hours day are spent on the train.

I will appreciate so much an advise from brothers and sisters who know very well NYC and the 5 boroughs. I would love to live in or close to a muslim community with good public schools.

You might want to consider Brooklyn or Queens. Both have sizable Muslim populations and many good public schools.

Thank you so much ShahnazZ, I have heard about Brooklyn and Queens. Do you know any specific public schools? My kids are still under 4 but soon they need to go to school.
