Looking for the Night of Power

Salaam 'Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

InshaAllah you are all well. As we are now in the last 10 days of Ramadan, most of us will be eagerly searching for the Night of Power. We need not remind ourselves of the scaredness and immense blessings of Laylatul Qadr, for it is indeed the 'cherry on the cake' in this holiest of months.

According to the most authentic report, the Prophet (pbuh) commanded us to search for Laylatul Qadr within the odds nights of the last ten days of Ramadan. And it is for this reason that most of us exhert that extra effort in our 'Ibaadah in the hope of multiplying or deeds a thousand fold and more during this special night. However, many of us (sadly including myself) ignore the even nights considering them to be insignificant compared to odd ones. What we dont often realise of course is that these 'even' nights could in fact really be 'odd' nights. For a huge population of the Muslim world has begun their fasting a day later than us, and for these people, their 27th night would be our 28. What if they are right and we are wrong?
Inspite of what we think and which opinion we follow, there is a possibility that those who started a day later may have been in fact correct. Of course, we will never know, but it highlights the importance of considering all of the last 10 days to be odd nights.

WaAllahu A'lam.

Was Salaam
