Love the one you love to a limit
Hate the one you hate to a limit
Excess is never liked and nothing good comes from it
It will make you like a child, putty in the hands
It will lead to the haram being halal and the lawful out of reach
Love will throw you into a river of despair
A never ending pursuit of happiness but there is no gold at the end of this rainbow
Constantly at someone’s beck and call
Thinking that they will love you back.
Pinning your hopes on fleeting memories
Living a lifetime in that passing smile
Fill your cup with the love of Allah.
Fill it to the brim and have no fear.
Love for the sake of Allah will live forever
Love based on everything else is flawed.
Allah’s Deen trampled on but you don’t bat an eyelid
Someone wrongs you and the call to arms rings out.
Nobody in the right but you.
With blinkers of your eyes what do you expect to see?
Hate that leads to empty kinship
Hate that makes you bitter
Leaving you alone and regretful
Hate turns to insults
Insults lead to the spilling of blood.
How will you answer?
You will never listen to reason nor will you be open to the truth
The loved will be of no avail on the day you will need them the most but the hate will be like an anchor dragging you to the Fire.
