I start by asking a question in math.
The next person answer.
Then asks another question.
This is an easy one.
4x=20
What does x equal?

:salam2:

0/0= any number

0x0=0
in 0/0, 0 is like a place holder as if we were using what is x for example

if
30x0=0 then 0/0=30

so 0/0= any number that you decide to use in the equation

0/0= any # Throughly explained :) it is not impossible but indefinite. When you put it in a calculator you do not get a answer b/c you did not use anythng as a value so it is undefined. It should read in a calculator as "Result of function undefined" not giving the answer as 0. 0 is like a place holder for x you have to determine what x is.

Well guys I will give you a word problem

Three times the width of a certain rectangle exceeds twice its length by three inches, and four times its length is twelve more than its perimeter. Find the dimensions of the rectangle

:salam2: Amirha this is what i got let me know if it's correct or not
W=x L=y and perimeter=x+y+12
3x=3(2y)+3 3x-6y=3 3x-6y=3 x=27
4y=x+y+12 -x+3y=12 -2x+6y=24
3x-6y=3
3(27)-6y=3
81-3=6y
78=6y
y=13
now W=27 and L=13

Here's what i got again x as width y as lenght and p as 2(x=y)=12
3x=2y+3 3x-2y=3 3x-2y=3
4y=2(x+y)+12 4y-2x-2y=12 -2x+2y=12
3x-2y=3
-2x+2y=12
x=15
now let's look for y
3x-2y=3
3(15)-2y=3
45-3=2y
42/2=y y=21
now the widht is 15 and the lenght 21 which dosn't make sense after what i thought there might have some errors in the problem because if three times the widht exceeds twice the lenght only by 3 that implies the lenght is longer
Anyway i'd like to have some hints if i'm not right and i really appreciate this
May Allah forgives us our sins and reward us with jannah?Ameen
