:salam2:

what upset me about the site was 2012 nonsense.

I have good news though, as muslims, we have our duaa and protection from Allah. So make your daily duaa in the morning and night and when you go about.

Salaam,

Sweet sister...they put messages until we adopt the message. In my day they used to call it brainwashing. Faith is the eye to the brain. Insha'Allah we can turn it off and remain real.
Do not be scared be grateful that you can see the truth.

There is something that is quite apparent after watching the tv series 'The Simpsons'. That it is complete piece of garbage and that we need to protect our eyes, ears and minds from such nonsense.

Also, Hollywood and the various tv series have created so many story lines and scripts, that pretty much any natural disaster or incident can be traced/found in a movie and tv series. No one would be so daft to give subtle hints to the general public before committing atrocious crimes.

"This might seem a stretch".. Certainly, it does.

Conspiracy theorist.. Always amusing. The Dubai & Dajjal one takes the cake . I crack up every time I remember reading/hearing about it.

Salaam,

Brother, whereas you laugh you forget fields such as psycholinguists were first used by Hollywood.
Conspiracy theorist.. Always amusing!!! I see that you are not keeping up with the news. Let me see..housing crisis, global warming..building 7. Funny thing most Americans are demanding the truth.
Please take the time to watch one episode of Family Guy and tell me what you think. There is a lot going on.
Don't scoff. TV has been used to change public opinion. A few years back the major networks decided they did not need to cover the "war" in Iraq. So they stopped. It is easier to watch the Simpsons. Now, the public does not have to see the horror as we saw Viet Nam.
Everything in the traditional media is scripted and edited. Everything. A survey released discussed the fact 60% of Americans do not trust the traditional media.
Who owns the media and tells us what is conspiracy or not.
Please be so kind as to view these videos.

Walaykumsalaam waa rahmatullahi,

The greeting is 'Salaamalaykum' and not 'Salaam' on it's own.

It wasn't my intention to label someone who investigates an event or incident as 'conspiracy theorist'. You misunderstood me there. About the 9-11 inquiry, there are valid questions raised by certain individuals, which need to be addressed by the US govt. It's not a conspiracy if you aim to investigate the truth in a matter and have reasonable objections to it, based on facts and released information.

However, stuff like the Arrivals, 2012, 11/6/2010 (hold your breath; it's not 11/7/2010 yet, lol) etc are just figment of someone's imagination. They have no basis, proof and reasoning for drawing such far fetched conclusion. Rather it is fiction and a tad bit of scare mongering (not to mention lunacy).

I don't think it is wise to recommend someone to watch shows such as Family guy, whose creators would go to any lengths for TRPs and attention grabbing. Such sick minds who can show such hideous things about Prophets of God, need not be watched. The Simpsons also doesn't conform to adequate level of morality (or decency) that is required, for it to be watched by a muslim.

Lastly, I do agree with you that it's hard to get unbiased news from the media these days. It's always wise to read/watch/listen to a wide variety of perspectives on the same issue before making up your mind about what you watch on CNN/BBC/Fox/NBC/ABC/CBS etc etc. Reading news stories from the print media in different parts of the world does make a lot of matters clearer. It helps you formulate more informed views on a particular news story and/or world happenings.

Wasalaamalaykum waa rahmatullahi

Assalaam walaikum,

I am amazed at the number of 2012 stuff. I was scanning the tv channels and the Discovery channel had a show on what will happen to the Earth one hour after humans disappear. I did not it was going to be a rapture.

The only reason I suggest we watch shows is to be able to address the issues that they sneak in. I will be frank. I am perturbed by this show because it normalizes beastiality. What we have is an acceptance that incest and sexual acts with animals are the norm.
I watched this in movies, songs, and general media.

Yes, I know it is haraam. However, we need to be aware that our youth are being subjected to this on a daily basis. We have to provide alternatives for them in a postive and proactive way.

It is more upsetting when the bigger picture reveals this is a purposeful method.

Assalaam walaikum,

Sister, good question. However, the internet can be rubbish. We have to be selective about what vehicle we use.

Assalaamu alaykum,

There is a remark that teleserials and Movies keep – “All the character in this serial or movie are fictitious. Any resemblance to living or dead is purely coincidental”. This is about India and I don’t know about what remark or notice they keep in US for the viewers.

They put this remark because days later if something happens in accordance to their programme than people do not come up with comparision or alleged thought-over plan or something similar to that. As we know events and incidents happen around continuously. It seems to me as something coincidental that which the vid show up. However what they show or how they project things needs a separate discussion.

Its also true that in some cases people take plots and plans from such programs. I remember there was a bank robbery and henceforth when culprits were caught and asked they said they got an inspiration from the hindi movie “aankhen” and planned the plot with the same tactics.

About 9/11 some conspiracy theorist have concluded from the slow motion captures that the impact is seen before the plains even struck the buildings! They say that missiles were loaded with the planes and they were struck before actually plains did – especially in case of attack over the twin towers. So they reason how missiles were loaded on passenger air-craft ?

I have seen those vids on you-tube and saying as what that said. Youtube is really ‘you’ and that is what those you people find they keep it. :p. The thing is people are trying to find out if anything before giving clean-chit.
