i read a book on Islam and Muslims. It was by a christian man. i cant remember who the author was but the book was called A CHRISITIANS RESPONSE TO ISLAM. it was a misguided book to whomever read it. it talked about how muslims worship a different God that our God,Allah,is different from the christian God when really we worship the same God! how muslim women arent respected by the teachings of Islam. how both the KORAN and the Bible were corrupted, how Abram had eight sons intsead of two, how Islam was spread by the sword. all while reading the book it made me upset and very angry to read these misunedstood words. it was written by a christian doctor who assumed he knew what he was talking about, but i realized that he didnt have any muslims talk to him about Islam and our beautiful religion. I wish that America, well, people who assume they knowwhat Islam is really about would stop trying to convine everyone around them that Islam is a bad religion. the author also said that muslims came to America to convert everyone to Islam. that was bull(excuse my language). i just cannot stand it when someone trys to tell us about our religion! hello, were they one practicing it NOT YOU:angryred: ! Also, an muslim sisters ever been discriminated against for wearing hijab? if so, please tell!:astag: :muslim_child: :SMILY71:

Assalam O Alaikum,

Relax brother....there is no need to getting angry. This author may be a follower of Satan but we Muslims are the followers of Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) who always advice his Ummah to be patience and make dua to Allah(swt) to give hidaya to people like him/her who don't have any logic to prove the authenticity of their religion but to criticize others.

Insha Allah will give him/her Hidaya one day.Ameen

They are just ignorant people who don't know what is good for them.

Asalamu alaykum,

Spend more time reading Islamic books written by Muslims which are actually based upon the Quran and Sunnah.

No Muslim should be spending their time on anti-Islamic sites, discussions or books.

It is a sin to be with such shayateen.

As i mentioned before on this website, the following is from another reply to someone:

please do not waste your time talking to people who Hate.

Its just going to waste your time, because they dont care about the truth. Infact, they dont care about anything except themselves, their egos their pride, their evil.

They'll complain about Muslims, but not care even one bit, not have ANY sympathy for the children who die from the wars they love to make..... They do not care about the truth. Millions of muslims are dying and are abused, yet the enemies of Islam still spread their negative filth.

Spend your time doing something useful pleeaseeeee.

Dont worry, Allah is the most just, the most merciful.

As i wrote in the other post,

Please Read The Reply i wrote here... :

You want to help people, then make or find articles and share them on this site, or on any other Islamic site. Put your time and effort doing that... It is worthless spending time talking to people who do not care about the truth.... We have our duty to tell people, if they dont listen dont spend your time arguing with them.

Allah says in the Quran:

140. And it has already been revealed to you in the Book (this Qur'ân) that when you hear the Verses of Allâh being denied and mocked at, then sit not with them, until they engage in a talk other than that; (but if you stayed with them) certainly in that case you would be like them. Surely, Allâh will collect the hypocrites and disbelievers all together in Hell.
Surah 4(An Nisaa, Ayah 140)

asalamu aleikum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatuh,

subhannallah!!!! these people make me angry. I know they really don't want to know the truth, we have an 'islamic' tv station, sponsored by the government, but they always invite dumb people like this and sufi's, shiites to their shows, it's sooooo frustrating, but mabsoot is right, we really should'nt give them attention, they like it and we are wasting our time, but i really feel you.
And about your second question, there is no day that goes by without being discriminated, just today i went to the zoo with my two young sons and the people can't leave us alone, always saying mean words and laughing at me. But i must say, some time ago a woman came to me in the train and she told me that she found me so beautiful in black hijaab. she told me she finds the muslimwomen dressed like this gracefull and very feminin, may Allah swt guide her. Another time i was attacked at a store with my kids by my side, and a man yelled at me that we muslims are retarded when i was shopping in his grocerystore, he yelled so hard that people would turn around to see what happened.
I really want to make hijra, i know a girl who lately took her hijaab off, because she couldn't take it anymore. I can say that i am a strong woman alhamdoelilah!!!!!, but if a girl or woman is insecure(?) or something, i can understand that it's too much.
Only sometimes people give me a smile, and that can really make my day.

Wa alaykum salam, you had your opinion aired, Alhamdulillah. :)

Just the link and the name of the author was removed. Why should anyone read what a stupid arrogant non-Muslim has to say about our perfect Religion?

Thank you for your comments. Jazakallahu khayr.

This is an open forum in that anyone can write things as long as they are according to the Quran and Sunnah.

Certain people are not allowed to post here, for example those who come here to spam the site with adverts, or those who hate Islam, and those who spread incorrect beliefs such as the people who reject Hadith or verses from Quran.

Wasalam.

i know where your coming from.....

...but you can't let it get you down sis.

There has been since the beginning and there will always be to the Day of Judgement, people who hate Islam and people who spread lies about Muslims and Islam.

you can either let it get you down or you can fight it - a jihad of sorts. There are many books and websites out there that spout stuff against Islam - we should fight it as best we can and when we can. We should educate oursleves (the Ummah) with what is truth and how to identify and estblish Truth. We are told in the Quran 'Do you not recognise the Truth when you see it?' It is our duty to spread Allah swt's word and defend Islam - this are hard times sis but in reflection they are nothing compared to what the Prophet pbuh went through - he withstood so much more than us, even Fatima RA defended him (when the entrails were thrown on his back when praying) and she was just a child at the time - so we should defend The Truth and squash the lies - but we must make sure we know the truth oursleves first and I feel that there is work that is needed within our own Ummah as well.

Sis as much as you should defend and promote the Truth you should not let it get you down. Yes I have been discriminated against of sorts whilst wearing hijaab ( and I have only been wearing it 6 weeks alhamdulillah) but its water off a duck's back. Someone said to me once that those who hate Islam and Muslims and spread lies are just grains in the sand of time - they are not the first (though some of them think it) and they will not be the last but when the Day of Judgement comes it will be Islam left standing - the Truth will out sis.

Speak to people kindly 'argue with them in the best way' as we are advised in the Qur'an by Alla swt but give dawah, dawah, dawah to other Muslims and to Non-Muslims - many of us wouldn't be here on this board if someone hadn't given us dawah at some point and taken time and paitence with us alhamdulillah may Allah swt reward them well insha'allah. Present the correct representation of Islam be kind and courteous and noble and paitence and grateful everything the Prophet pbuh was but do not be a push over, do not become stagnant in your learning (go to China in search of knowledge as the hadith says - meaning do not give up in learning) and insha'allah your affect on people will be great - repel evil with good, this is what Allah swt tells us and hold fast to the fact that the Truth, the Right Path will always prevail.

MubarekMuslima, i don't know if you where talking to me sister, but i know excactly what you mean, i'm not trying to sound like a victim here, the people that herasse(?) me only make my imaan stronger, i told about the woman in the train, i also met another woman in a store, she was like 70 years old and she said to me that i was looking beautifull and that she found that society is becoming dirty, with it's peoples way of dressing and behaviour. She said to me that our way of dressing is beautifull and pure, but she also said that a lot of muslims dress horrible, with all kinds of clothes that don't match and smelling like sweat, in other words not taking care of themselves. And that this scared her and other people off. I recognice this from when i wasn't a muslim yet. seeing old women carry two heavy bags, walking three metres behind her husband, in ugly clothes, at first i thought that islam was about getting the cheapest of everything and to not wasting time on yourselve as a woman. She said that if everyone dresses the same way in clean and neat(?) clothes it would be easier to talk to us (muslims) and more interesting to learn about our way of live. I told her it is very important in islam to keep ourselves and our apperence clean and she found that very beautifull. We already know this, but that makes it clear that we should dress and behave as the best of people and only then will people be interested in islam. You will always come across nasty people, but that is their problem. As long as we do our best, you never know where the ghair of Allah is within.

:salam2:

this is a fabricated hadith sister....... here is what some scholors say about it.

The hadeeth, "Seek knowledge even if it be to China"

Related by ibn Adee (2/207)m Abu Nu'aym in 'Akhbaar Asbahaan' and others via many routes of narration, and all of them adding the words "for indeed seeking knowledge is an obligatory duty upon all Muslims."

Ibn al-Jawzee mentions this and then quotes ibn Hibbaan saying, "invalid/rejected, it has no basis" 'al-Mawdoo'aat' (1/215)]

adh-Dhahabee also endorsed the above words of ibn Hibbaan, ['Tarteeb al-Mawdoo'aat' of adh Dhahabee (pg. 52 no. 111)] and likewise as-Sakhaawee ['Maqaasid al-Hasanah' (pg. 86 no. 125)]

al-Albaanee
declares this hadeeth to be maudu (fabricated) ['Da'eef al-Jaami as-Sagheer' (no's 1005-1006)]

In summary, the above hadeeth is related by a group of trustworthy narrators without the words "even if it be to China" and a few narrators who are deemed weak/liars/abandoned by the scholars narrate this additional wording. So the hadeeth with the additional wording is fabricated, but without is hasan (good). [See 'Silsilah ad-Da'eefah' (1/600 no. 416) for detail.]

Curious

Asalamualikum,

In my search for Islam, I bought many books to read, making sure they were not 'one-sided' from a non-muslim point of view. Most of the readings were unbiased, and factual truths about Islam, so I could learn the truth.

When Mabsoot deleted the title
Just the link and the name of the author was removed.
I would not know if I had read this one book or not. So I do not know if I have this one which is to be avoided.

There needs not to be 'blindness' to information about what is to be avoided, but to show us and compare. I agree not to waste time reading nonsense of the un-truths of Islam. :hijabi:

So in this case, I have no clue what the title (author) is. We have Allah to guide us to the truth in all things. When we face things that are not right to read, we can 'discern' this is wrong and a waste of time. If we cannot select for ourselves which is right to read, then how can we learn and know when it is wrong to read. It is good for guidance from Mabsoot to warn us and keep us free from bad things.

For now, I have no clue as to what book was deleted....not to read it, but to avoid it, should I see it listed to buy.

Sallam:blackhijab:
