    Bismillah

Just my thoughts i wrote down, hope it will be received well, inshaAllah.

Why is everybody hating on islam?
is it just because of osama and saddam?
Well they aren't symbols of our religion
cus our religion is not about killing
Our religion is about peace and love
all things which Allah has granted us from above
Is it really that hard to see?
That islam is one big family?
Well i hope some day they will understand
that islam is my choise, and i am who i am.
I fight for islam in the school and so on
But they look at me like its me who are wrong.
I am not saying that they should believe just like me,
i am just saying please let us muslims be.
Muslims we need to get a louder voice
because there is nothing but negative noise
We must show the world the true islam
which is all about love and real salam.
Our ummah needs to be strong
to fight this thing out, the road will be long.
But we all need to be mujahids
not by violence but by true hadiths
Islam is our love, our soul, our heart
and nothing in this world can tear islam and us apart
We only want to live side by side
not to live in a world full of fight
So please non muslims listen to our words
we may go to masjids and you may go to church
    But our religion is salam
so let is muslims be and have our islam!

genious poem!! this poem is representing of the situation between islam and the west. And represent about our (islam) stand point. We are different than christian about dawah matter. Islam doesnt coerce people becoming followers. In islam dawah just giving to the people whose interest, and wants to take a lesson to. If they don't want to, so islam will shun from them. The truth dawah of islam is a real contribution to the civilisations/society, by words and acts. congratulation sister for a very good poem.

    Bismillahirahmanirahim

Say: O ye that reject Faith!
I worship not that which worship,
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship,
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
To you be your way, and to me mine.

The main sentence of this surrah : Al Kafiruun, is the first sentence: Say: O ye that reject Faith! The sentences after the first sentences are showing us about the characters of people who reject faith, implicitly.
This surrah show us that in islam, dawah doesn't leave for all people. People who reject faith aren't become target of dawah.

MashaAllah! You've captured Islam's beauty - speaking as a Christian, I know that Islam is not about terrorism, lunatics like Bin Laden and others, etc. No Muslim I know of supports such things. Islam is about peace, worshipping God, helping others, and so on.

Please don't think that we non-Muslims homogenise you as bad. Only idiots see Islam as being synonymous with terrorism. :)

Osama Bin Ladin was framed. The American Government framed him and made up al Qaeda too. A genius plan from the CIA to make Americans think we are against them. Just think how thy know all of their strategy's. Don't ever listen to American media, it is just lies and made up stories and they hide things too and its a controlled by Jews, the Zionists.

With all due respect, every religion has a minority of evil extremists within it, who claim to represent the religion but actually represent their own fascism. Bin Laden appeared in multiple videos admitting to his crimes, and al-Qaeda is such a huge, diverse organisation (despite only having around 170 actual members). Nobody could just casually create it. Buddhist extremists attack Muslims in Burma, Joseph Kony's Christian terrorists attack people in Uganda, and Al-Qaeda has killed people too, many of their victims are Muslims. Evil people exist who claim to follow every religion, and I think everyone would make more progress in general if they dropped the "I blame the *insert different religion.*" mentality and accepted that these extremists aren't really Muslim, Chdistian, or any other religion, but evil men who distort their religions and give them a bad name. I hate Fox News and other media outlets, and I'm also anti-Zionist, but this is just my input in all this.

Please don't apologise, we're all entitled to our own opinions - but kudos to you for admitting when you realise that you could be incorrect, and being respectful and polite. I can tell you're another good person who harbors no ill will towards anyone.

I've been to Syria in August - things there are awful and extremists are trying to hijack the people's revolution, and I know of Christian extremists, and extremists from all religions. They rely on media attention to thrive, so the best thing we can do is to openly condemn them, declare that they have no place in our religion/s, and not let them affect us. What's more Zionists always want to divide us via these means to further their own gains (Assad is the biggest Zionist there is, and secretly funds many al-Qaeda linked groups in Syria), so always be vigilant brother. All the best. :)

whats been happening in Syria is really sad, I want to go there too so i can hep but i was told that in Islam girls can't do this work so all i can really do is pray for them and donate when i have enough money. But yeah Assad and his father are both evil and they have been causing corruption in Syria for a very long time. But everything happens with Allah's will and those innocent lives they take have their reward with Allah and their suffering is not in vain.

Girls can do just as much - it depends who you're talking to. The Kurds in Syria have female fighters, as does the FSA mujahideen. Don't let some misogynists put you off! :) I was there for peaceful work (which anyone can do if they're careful), but if I could join the FSA, I would.

I have a family and educational commitments which will, inshallah, allow me to do more for Syria in the long-term. But I'm being serious, you should follow your dreams, not be held down because you're a certain sex, or because someone tells you that you can't do something. Opinions aren't facts. However, I'm not ruling out joining my friends to help them gain their freedom.

"A man once consulted the Prophet Muhammad about taking part in a military campaign. The Prophet asked the man if his mother was still living. When told that she was alive, the Prophet said: "(Then) stay with her, for Paradise is at her feet." (Al-Tirmidhi) http://islam.about.com/od/elderly/a/mothers.htm

Thanks, In sha Allah you will be a part of it, a strong fearless fighter. I would join too but there's no way it could happen. All I can do is pray and leave it to Allah.

I'm not ruling it out, but not for the forseeable future at all. But inshallah Syria will be free by then - if not, I will do anything I can to ensure that the revolution carries on, and that the people of Syria are victorious. Shukran jaziilan sadiqi, inshallah...

Shukran jaziilan, it is! Unfortunately there is a huge misconception that Muslim women are mistreated as a homogeneous mass. Of course there will be SOME abuses, but the majority seem very satisfied with their lives, and many are liberated by it.

    I
i know, believe me i see this all the time but the men that do this arent following the true islam. They think that i am the man of the family and i can do whatever i want but that aint true. The woman was created from the mans rib, not from his feet to be stepped on not from his head to be superior but from his side to be equal under his arms to be protected and near his heart to be loved.
