NECESSARY DUTIES OF SALAAT (WAAJIBAATU-SALAAT) AND HOW TO RECITE “TASHAHHUD”

In addition to the proceeding 14 pillars of prayer, there are also
certain necessary duties, which need to be fulfilled in the course
of the salaat. They are as follows:

1. All Takbeers except Takbeerat ul-Ihram.

2. Saying “ SUBHANAA RABBIYAL ATHEEM”, (once) in Rukuu position.

3. Saying “SAMI ALLAHU LIMAN HAMIDAH”(once) while resuming standing position from the Rukuu, whether the person is an “Imam” - leading the prayer or is praying alone.

4. Saying “RABBANA WALAKAL HAMD” (once) after resuming the standing position from the Rukuu. This is required from the Imam, from the congregation and also when the person is praying alone.

5. Saying “SUBHANA RABBIYAL A’LAA” (once) when in Sujuud (Prostration) position.

6. Saying “RABB IGHFIR LEE” in the sitting lull between the two prostrations of every unit of the prayer.

7. Taking a sitting position on the recitation of the first Tashahhud at the end of first two rakaats (units) of Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha prayers.

8. Reciting the Al-Tashahhud (words of witness) after the end of first two rakaats of Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha prayers.

taking a uturn here

a'Salam Aylekum!

sorry if I'm jumping off topic here:)

I have had many worries about the prayer for two weeks now. All this trouble because there are no complete site or video which answers all questions.

Now to my question about Tashahhud #(sunnah)#:

Do I say attahiyati and As Salatu Al-Ibrahimiiyah in (fajr) before turning the head right and left (asalamu aleykum rahmatullahu barakatu).

Do I say attahiyati and As Salatu Al-Ibrahimiiyah in (dhur) only before turning the head right and left?

Do I say attahiyati and As Salatu Al-Ibrahimiiyah in (asr)? only??? after turningen the head right and left?

Do I say attahiyati and As Salatu Al-Ibrahimiiyah in (maghreb)? only??? after turningen the head right and left?

Do I say attahiyati and As Salatu Al-Ibrahimiiyah in (isha)? only??? after turningen the head right and left?

And, In Fajr Maghreb, Isha, one should recite 2 rakats. And I heard from a muslim saying that one shall not recite two hole rakats in this prayers but only the cur'an??? Help me sort this out please, may Allah reward you all, immensely, Ameen!

I have been struggling for about two weeks to start praying to Allah prophet's way (puh) and I have gone through many frustrations, but I still won't give up.

Jazakallah!

ASAK Brother,
with regard to your question regarding
Do I say attahiyati and As Salatu Al-Ibrahimiiyah in (fajr) before turning the head right and left (asalamu aleykum rahmatullahu barakatu).

when you pray 2 Rakaats ( Units), you have to recite Attahiyat and Durood Ibrahim when you sit in tashahhud, before turning the head right and left (asalamu aleykum rahmatullahu barakatu)

when you pray 4 Rakaats ( Units), you have to recite Attahiyat only in 1st tashahhud (in 2nd rakaat (unit)) and Attahiyat and Durood Ibrahim when you sit in 2nd tashahhud ( in 4th rakaat ), before turning the head right and left (asalamu aleykum rahmatullahu barakatu)

similarly when you pray 3 rakaat ( like Magrib) you have to recite Attahiyat only in 1st tashahhud (in 2nd rakaat (unit)) and Attahiyat and Durood Ibrahim when you sit in 2nd tashahhud ( in 3rd rakaat ), before turning the head right and left (asalamu aleykum rahmatullahu barakatu)

ASalam Aylekum!

Thanks to you both, brothers. thariq2005, your video confirmed helped:)

In my opinion I say that beginners shouldn't watch:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgiirbC0F48&feature=related It interesting, but was frustrating when he left out some of the saying in prayers. I have studied it many, many times, say at least 2o (seriously).

wannabe_muttaqi, very good clear instructions there, very helpful too.

About the text bellow:
I followed step by step videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QulvzwryTc&feature=channel
It said: Fajr:2 rakats all aloud. Maghreb: 2 rakat aloud. Isha 2 rakat alloud.
So I asked a muslim brother from a moque, he stated that: those rakats should be stated aloud but only the Qur'an, not the entire rakats. I wondered if you heard or do something similar or different.

ps: just did my first prayer: woooohoooo! thank you brothers, may Allah reward you.

Salam!

ASAK Brother,
Regarding your question abt the reccitation,
So I asked a muslim brother from a moque, he stated that: those rakats should be stated aloud but only the Qur'an, not the entire rakats. I wondered if you heard or do something similar or different.

the brother answered it correctly. I would also like to mention that if you are in a mosque and if you are praying in congregation, then it is the IMAM (the one who leads) recites it loud and you have to hear it with utmost concentration.

Also congratulations for your first prayer. Now all you have to do it is make it 5 times a day, Inshallah. May ALLAH SWT accept your strive to learn Islam. Ameen.
