JERUSALEM: A senior MPs urged the Palestinian Authority (PA) immediately declared the independence of that country in response to the failure of negotiations with Israel.
According to Mr Mustafa Barghouthi, the PA should immediately make a declaration of the existence of "a democratic Palestinian state" to include the territory Israel seized after the Six Day War in 1967 as part of the territory of that country.
Jerusalem was declared the capital of Palestine.
According to Ma'an news agency yesterday,Mr Mustafa suggested the idea as a reaction to failure is trying to reach a peace plan by the Zionist regime is involved.
"Through the declaration, the Palestinian will call on all countries, governments and international institutions to recognize that country and its borders.
"We will also urge the United Nations General Assembly provide for the issue of recognition of the boundary conditions set the body on June 4, 1967," he said.
Mr Mustafa, who is also leader of the Palestinian National Initiative negotiations conducted during this regard does not carry any meaning, but destructive to the country.

"If Israel continues the illegal occupation of Palestine, the regime must be punished," he said.
Mr Mustafa said, only the international recognition of Palestine and the region is able to provide a balanced bargaining power when negotiating with Israel.
