prayer at work

Assalaam alaikum,
I pray at work wherever i can find a secluded place. There is a room with lots of posters that i try my best to find another place and there's a room with a security camera, is their any ruling on praying and being videotaped? i know noone is staring at this camera or watching me. I just want to make sure i'm doing the right thing according to Islam. thanks

i don't think there is something wrong about that. islamchannel shows the daily prayers from al masjid al haram etc. praying in public is only bad when you are doing it for show e.g. for other people to see you as holy or pious.

There is nothing wrong with your situation. I think it all goes to what your intentions are and putting your best effort. I pray at work too, funny thing is that it is one of the three conference rooms, but it's the smallest one. There are no locks or anything. I just put a sticky saying "Please Do Not Disturb" So far no one has walked in haha.

If there would be a room without camera and there would be another with camera. Then I would prefer to go to that room with camera.Why? Because it is a quite Daawah (invitation to Islam). Whoever watches the video will ponder about Islam and might question about it and hence study Islam.
