i hope Allah wil make things easier for u
and may He guide back all ur muslim friends to the right path
well basically from my humble opinion
what u could do is to try have a 'talk' with ur friend
tell him about islam-which maybe he already knew or just being ignorant of it- make him come back to our faith
tell him about Allah,Yaum Akhirah(hereafter) and the punishment for all who commited sins without repenting
maybe u would want to remind him of death and say that if he has only a day to live and he realised that he hasnt practice much of our deen
how will he going to meet Allah and answer all the deeds that he done?
and most important u dont give up pray and duaa to Allah so that Allah will open their hearts too as for He is the One who can guide people
but we as another muslims' brother/sister should prevent al mungkar either through actions,words and the weakest of imann is to hate the almungkar in our heart.
it must have been hard living in the west and with all those temptations
well maybe one of the way to leave the sins life is maybe to move away to a better place where there are more pious people-as like in a story of a man who had killed 99 people and he wanted to repent and a pious man said that he has to move from his current place to a place where there are a lot of muslimin;a lot of good people and on his way there he met his death.
then the Angel of Azab and the Angel of Rahmah had an 'argument' whether to take the killer soul into al jannah au annaar
and with Allah mercy's Allah said that look at the nearest duration of where he is at,meaning which place is the nearest to where he died-if he is nearer to his current place, then he may go to annaar and if he is nearer to the village occupied by the muslimins then he is to go to aljannah.and it happened that the guy was nearer to the village he was to head to(the village of the good people) and he was granted with aljannah :ma:
and this also remind me of a hadeeth where a man came to Rasulullah and said that he prays,fasts and do good deeds but the ony thing he cannot avoid is to comiit zina
then rasulullah asked the man what if the zaniyah(the women who commits zina) were to be a sister or a female relatives of his, can he accept that? then the man said surely i cannot accept that and then Rasulullah made a duaa at his chest so as to protect the man from haram things(zina).
maybe u would want to tell him like that too- what if the zaniyah is to be a relatives of his, what would he feel?
anyways im not so clear on how 'bad' ur friends is far from our deen-could be that if any advice we say he wouldnt listen to any of it but at least we have done our responsibilities to try advice him to get back to the right pack
and the rest is all on Allah to gives him hidayah to repent-inshaAllah

may Allah keep us steadfast in our faith even for us not living in the west-no matter where we live there will always be temptation and bad desires from the shaitan and even our nafs
but always remember of the real purpose of us muslims living in this world so that inshaAllah everytime when we feel we've done something wrong,we'll quickly istighfar :astag: and repent to The Almighty
