:salam2:
InshaAllaah everyone is well. I have two questions please I hope I can get an answer soon.
First question is that I know some people who e.g. pray on 'behalf' of Muhammad salAllaahu'alayhi wa sallaam and do other acts of worship including a share of Qurbani on behalf of Muhammad salAllaahu'alayhi wa sallaam. For example, on tele there is a live appeal for Qurbani, and it's on a bengali channel. Many bengali people are calling in and saying that they want to donate a share on behalf of Muhammad salAllaahu'alayhi wa sallaam. And the men who are hoasting the show have long beards and are wearing toppi and some are even sheikh in the community approve of it. But Muhammad salAllaahu'alayhi wa sallaam is not in need of our deeds, he has enough, besides any deeds he teaches us to do and we do he will get equal amount of ajar.
So, my question is, is there any proof from the Qur'aan and Sunnah where it says that it is permissable to do acts of worship on behalf of Muhammad (salAllaahu'alayhi wa sallam) ?
My second question is that do I have to give Qurbani? I am a student and I don't work, so is giving Qurbani on my behalf fardh for me? Also, do we do zakatul fitr for 'Eid ul Adha? Or only for 'Eid ul Fitr?
That's all for now. I would be very greatful if my fellow brothers and sisters can present an answer from the authentic texts of Islam and before the coming of 'Eid.
( btw 'Eid Mubarak in advance
) JazakAllaahu/killaahu khayran.
