Question regarding Knowledge

Assalam Alikum. I need a bit of clarification regarding the following..

"There is no goodness in knowledge which is not confirmed by action, or words which are not confirmed by deeds:

“O you who believe! Why do you say that which you do not do?
Most hateful it is with Allâh that you say that which you do not do”
[al-Saff :2-3] "

If for example someone asks me about praying tahajud and I explain it to him, but I my self donot pray tahajud, does that mean since i my self donot pray tajahud that i shouldnt talk about it 2 other or recommend other 2 pray tahajud??
I hope u understand what im saying...

salam alaykum ,

when some1 ask u about jihad, will u answer him or not? yes of course , in that case u teaching him u give him knowledge.and there is nothing wrong with that.

but when u start telling him to do jihad while u re not, in that case it may be as what u think. what allah means by this aya wa allah a3lam is when u tell some1 to do something while u not doing it. but when u teach some1 something that he asked u about.then there is nothing wrong with that.
