Hope everyones Ramadan is going well. I have a question...

Can somebody break their fast if they are very dehydrated? If they can, what do they have to do to make up for it and if they can't, can they sleep to pass the time until iftar?

Thanks

If someone is really dehydrated, the person feeling really weak and sickish, then he can opt out to fast cos it is causing harm to himself. (See how flexible Islam is). The person definitely has to make-up his fast.

And if you want to sleep till past iftar while fasting, you should be able to do so, cos it does not affect your fast at all. But isn't it quite a waste to just sleep when you can spend the time doing all sorts of ibadahs to gain Allah's pleasure.

Hope that answers! :)
