:salam2: i heard that it's not permited to cook for three days in the house ,if some one dies. is this true? wat abt preparing milk for small babies?

Dear sister, what you have heard is not true. We have never heard about that. It is just that because the people of the departed are in grief and can not cook because of that, their neighbours and relatives get them cooked food for some few days. It is a sign of mercy and consolation among Muslims, but has nothing to do with any Islamic prohibition. Allah knows best.

There is nothing like that in Islam but it is recommanded that friends and neighbours cook for the family who lost someone to help them.
