Salam everyone,

I hope to be part of this Muslim social network.

I have one question that may seem absurd. I grew up in Saudi Arabia and as a law over there a descendant of prophet Muhammad salaAllah alaywasalm is entitled to land. How can one prove he or she is a descendant?
Also, with our advanced technology, why can't we take a DNA sample from the prophet's tomb and set it as a template for everyone to use? Is that haram even though it can lead to truth?

The last I heard, the Saudi government are planning to turn the Prophet's (peace be upon him) tomb into a carpark...

O mankind, We created you from one man and one woman, and then divided you into nations and tribes so that you may recognize one another.*! Indeed, the most honorable among you in the Sight of Allah is he who is the most pious of you. *!*!Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

If anyone is a believer and does righteous good deeds, he will be honored by Allah Subhanah wa taaala….and if one disbelieves, he will deserve the Wrath and Anger of the Lord Most High in the Hereafter even if he is a descendent of the prophet salla Allah alaihi wa sallam.

Thank you, but it still does not answer my question.

:salam2:

Saudi Arabia is a country with its own set of laws and they have the right to make their own laws which don’t contradict Islam.

There is no stipulation in Islam to grant free land to descendents of Prophet Muhammad :saw: so if Saudia has a law like that you need to ask a Lawyer specialising in Saudia legal system about the framework surrounding the law. I didn’t even know such a law existed because I know plenty of people in such circumstances in Saudia and never heard of this law but if you say so then you must have first checked I suppose.

The digging up of a Muslim’s body is not permissible unless there is a valid reason and there is no reason to dig up the body of Prophet Muhammad :saw: simply to satisfy curiosity. There is no evidence to the best of knowledge to support exhuming a body when there is no fundamental issue or need.

:wasalam:
