Abu al-‘Abbas ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abbas, radiyallahu anhuma, reported: One day I was behind the Prophet, sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam, and he said to me:

"O young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice] : Be mindful of Allah, and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. If you (have need to) ask, ask of Allah; and if you seek help, seek help from Allah. Know that even if the Nation (or the whole community) were to gather together to benefit you with something, they would not benefit you with anything except that which Allah has already recorded for you, and that if they gather together to harm you with something, they would not be able to harm you with anything except that which Allah has already recorded against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried."

Assalamu Aleykum,
Yeah, “random search” at airports and “random handbag checks” at the supermarket… key word RANDOM (sarcasm)

Alhamdulilah I haven’t faced any problems other than the “random” searches but a family friend of mine has. It was a case of stolen identification - They were getting their passports renewed so they sent it to their home country, during that process, somehow, it was misplaced and stolen. Later they got a call telling them that the FBI is keeping a close eye on them because they (apparently) found out that they were apart of some Osama Bin Laden terrorist organization, and related to him, so therefore they would have their phone calls tabbed. Like they don’t they do that already…seriously, I can hear them clicking away. (A piece of advice: you might want to keep the volume down and not push so hard on the buttons because I can hear you).

ahhh, what can you do, it will always be us and them!
