Asslamo Allaikum,
I was in year 9 in Karachi, Pakistan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karachi) and decided to bunk school & go messing around with my friends.
We all consulted each other and decided to go to the beach and then the zoo & be back home on time so no one at home would find out.
All went well & we were on course to return but then we saw this really short fast-moving woman in Niqab (full face veil) so I commented, “Look at this woman! she is probably a robber that’s why she is wearing a veil so the police won’t catch her & she has got the loot stashed in her Burqa and look at her GO”
Do you know who this woman was?
She was my mother’s older Sister (Khala) and she grabbed me by the ear (literally) and dragged me across Karachi in buses to my home…I developed a permanent condition where my left ear is longer then the right!
If you browse the link about Karachi and look at the population; it is staggering as to how I ran into my own Aunty with a fiery tamper that day! I mean what are the chances of that?
From that day! I have NEVER even thought about commenting on any women in a veil; I was scarred for life!
That experience changed my life about commenting on women; period!
