Rejecting Israel's existence....

Is something that is been confusing me lately. For the past 60 years Israel has been recognized and celebrated as a sovereign nation. Yet almost every Muslim rejects this and insists that it's not really there even though it's clearly marked on a map. To be honest, it only makes us look ignorant as a people. Don't get me wrong, I loathe the fact that the Jews basically built their nation over one that already existed, but to me I believe that this is warning that Judgment day is coming. The Quran is an eternal book to be referred to for all times. There are many verses that speak of how the Children of Israel spread mischieif and never followed the laws in the Torah, and it feels as if these verses are coming into play once more near the end of times.

I'm being honest, I really could never fully understand what the Quran meant when it spoke poorly of the majority of the Jews--how they are some of the greediest people, some of the most hard-headed. But now when I'm old enough to understand what has been done to the Palestinians, how they came and devastated a land and a people all at once, the verses are more crystal clear than ever. To me, Israel's current existence is a awakening , to show the nation that God had said to have favoured over all nations, that it's time for them to return to the path, and at the same time, reassure us that the Quran is an eternal book and will always apply.

5:78 THOSE of the children of israel who were bent on denying the truth have [already] been cursed by the tongue of David and of Jesus, the son of Mary? [93] this, because they rebelled [against God] and persisted in transgressing the bounds of what is right.

7:138 AND WE BROUGHT the children of Israel across the sea; and thereupon they came upon people who were devoted to the worship of some idols of theirs. [101] Said [the children of Israel ]: "O Moses, set up for us a god even as they have gods!" He replied: "Verily, you are people without any awareness [of right and wrong]!

And when it is said unto them: Make not mischief in the earth, they say: We are peacemakers only. (11) Beware ! They indeed the mischief-makers. But they perceive not

" And We had made known to the children of Israel in the Book: Most certainly you will make mischief in the land twice, and most certainly you will behave insolently with great insolence. So when the promise for the first of the two came, We sent over you Our servants, of mighty prowess, so they went to and fro among the houses, and it was a promise to be accomplished. Then We gave you back the turn to prevail against them, and aided you with wealth and children and made you a numerous band. If you do good, you will do good for your own souls, and if you do evil, it shall be for them. So when the second promise came (We raised another people) that they may bring you to grief and that they may enter the mosque as they entered it the first time, and that they might destroy whatever they gained ascendancy over with utter destruction. It may be that your Lord will have mercy on you, and if you again return (to disobedience) We too will return (to punishment), and We have made hell a prison for the unbelievers. "

As-salaamu `alaykum.

There have been many instances where a group of people has unjustly taken the land of the inhabitants, but they are accepted as nations. Of course, that doesn't mean justifying or even agreeing and being pleased with how these nations were founded! Anyway, the scholars said that it is not correct to call the Jewish state "Israel". For a time I thought it was purely political, however I then realised that this is due to the fact that Israa'eel is the name of Ya`qub, and the people of that land are in no way representative of Ya`qub `alayhi salaam.
