"Ye have in the messenger of God a good example for those who hope [to meet] God and the lasting day and remember God much." (33:21) This verse addresses women as well as men. In fact, it addresses all humanity.
That's not to say that the mothers of the believers are not role models. They are. Especially as wives and mothers. What better role model of a wife has there ever been than Lady Khadeeja, may God have been pleased with her. The disciples (Sahaaba) and their successors (Taabi`een) and the rest of our good ancestors (as-Salaf as-Saalih) are role models too. But the prophet, peace be upon him is the foremost role model for all.
The prophet peace be upon him said, "Take half your religion from this little red-faced one" hinting at `Aa'isha, may God have been pleased with her. He also said, "My companions are like stars: whomever of them you follow you will be guided."
jazaka Allahu khyran kathiran brother
now i will explain what happenend
when i said to him that my role model is rasulAllah

he said when you take a role model you imitate him\her in everything can you dress like him p.b.u.h can you do stuff only men can do it ?
i said of course no
he said then in this time you should imitate his wives because you can do like them and they learned from rasulAllah

and those may Allah be pleased with them who you should imitat them and take as a role model .and that made me really confused .
BTW he is one of my students but he has knowledge or as it appears so sometimes he take to me a bout islam and its different aspects .
thanks for this verse i totally forgot to tell him about it "Ye have in the messenger of God a good example for those who hope [to meet] God and the lasting day and remember God much."
