While I do not vote I do believe Ron Paul would make a good President of the USA he wants to bring the u.s. soldiers back home from Iraq and Afghanistan and stop all foreign aid to the state of Israel he wants the American Empire to stop being an Empire and the Police of the World while he is not 100% perfect in my opinion he may not have much of a chance to win since he must compete with the NeoConservatives but he is the only American Politician that I admire and respect are there any Non Muslims that you have any respect for my understanding is that there were Non Muslim Americans that Osama bin Laden had high regard for ?

Favorable bin Laden opinion of two American authors

In 2011, in a review of a new book from former CIA officer Michael Scheuer, professor and writer Fouad Ajami wrote that "n 2007, [bin Laden] singled out two Western authors whose knowledge he had high regard for: Noam Chomsky and" Scheuer.[20]

The War on Religion

by Rep. Ron Paul, MD

The notion of a rigid separation between church and state has no basis in either the text of the Constitution or the writings of our Founding Fathers. On the contrary, our Founders' political views were strongly informed by their religious beliefs. Certainly the drafters of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, both replete with references to God, would be aghast at the federal government's hostility to religion. The establishment clause of the First Amendment was simply intended to forbid the creation of an official state church like the Church of England, not to drive religion out of public life.

Eventhough Ron Paul is a conservative, I do like him! He has very liberal views in social matters like the war. But he is fiscally conservative.

I will probably vote for him.

To be honest, when picking a candidate my #1 priority is: Is this person an Islamophobe? How do they feel about Palestine? Will they bring our soldiers home?

Then comes healthcare and their economic plan.

I wonder if he even has a chance? Because dude we're living in a country with BASICALLY a two-party system. I think he should run under the Conservative ticket because THEY REALLY HAVE NO ONE ELSE, lol. While Dems will probably have the popular names...Obama again, hopefully Hillary again.

Wait, what?? Please send me a link.

I support the separation of church and state. Because unless you have a community where 100% of the people agree on a religion or way of law, you will oppress people.

For example, what if there was no separation of church & state in the US? What would Non-Christians do? Would we be outlawed? Would we be sent to some sort of ghetto like the Jews in Germany?

Its a dangerous thing.

I love our constitution as well as the bill of rights. It ensures religious freedom for all.

@ Seeker of Truth

Okay, your last post TOTALLY CONTRADICTS your opening post. Because you said "he wants to bring the u.s. soldiers back home from Iraq and Afghanistan and stop all foreign aid to the state of Israel"

If you are quoting someone, please put it in quotations. As of right now, your thread is contradictory and makes no sense.

Sorry about my post being contradictory

Sorry my post is contradictory but I just found this out a few minutes ago that he supported the so called war on terror in Afghanistan while he now wants to bring the soldiers back at first he supported attacking Afghanistan.

I hope you won't take offence, but it would be nice if you used some punctuation in your posts. Reading such a long string of words without any break in ideas or words tends to be confusing and difficult to understand. Just a helpful suggestion.
