:salam2: i hope this message does not give you the wrong information.
But I am having kind of discussion and also difficulty in overcoming this problem. The thing is we have to do the detailed study of each and everypart, organ, tissue and cell of human body, and for that we are cutting humans, taking thier organs, and then cutting them and finally throwing them in dustbin.:astag:
As the knowledge i have about dead people is they still feel pain, and they are to be treated with respect, eventhough they are dead,so I make sure everytime I went to lab last year also,i make wudoo, and pray in my heart that allah will forgive me for what I am doing to all those bodies each day, sometimes we go wrong and endup making a mess on 3 bodies.so,I have this discussion today in the lab with one other muslim sister that,i think this way of putting the used organs part and taken out fats and skins on dustbin is not gud,so what we can do about this,as this university is run by all kuffar ppl and is a kuffar place.
but the reply from that sis is,they are dead,so they cannot feel anything, and then we went to a debate,:astag:,i told her about the hadith of prophet telling they can hear, but she said, not to worry as we are doing this for the good of other human beings who are living.
I know I have this question each day when I go to lab for the last 2 yrs, everyday in class i think I'll ask this from a sheikh and then I forget when i come home.:astag:. So now :ma: today i remebered.so I'm asking everyone here.
What is the ruling on doctors using cadava, and what is the ruling on those organs, even the smallest fat adiposes that we throw to dustbin, sticked to our gloves, what is the best way to deal them, and if there is no possible way for us to getrid of them in proper islamic way, what shell we do,
and is there any special dua' to be made, pls I'm in need,as i feel so guilty everyday,I am afraid of god, hurting its creation and also to be mentioned, the kuffars play with them like footballs, handle them like toys,i really feeel guilty and am really afraid cos in my mind it alws resounds like this"what if allah swt makes me feel the same pain that I'm causing this cadava,):astag:and i seek refuge from that.pls help me and make dua for me.

Salam

I have no answer for you, but I just wanted to say that I have had 2 older family members that specifically "donated" their bodies to science after they died (I mean, they made provisions for when they died to be donated to medical colleges for study and learning). They were both university professors in their life times, so they wanted to continue teaching even after they died.

I think of how many things have been learned, and need to be taught, from studying dead bodies. I hope you let us know what you learn from this experience, if you get to ask an official scholar.

:salam2:

This is exactly why I caused my mom a heartbreak and picked up *Political Sciences & Education* for a major..the only dissecting in that major is that of *opinions..positions..and theories*..lol

I too admire your bravery..you must be one tough sister to deal with all of this..mashallah

I must say though..

I think *the best* people to answer your question are Muftis..a shaikh would be better especially because you are studying in a non-Muslim university and very likely working on non-Muslim bodies..so your condition is *very specific* and a verdict can be quite tricky to give by a random person :)

There are websites for fatwas sister..try to look one up and post your question..it might take a week or 2 before you get an answer..but at least you'll be more confident about what you're getting :)

I wish you the best in your studies sister..and I love you for Allah's sake

:wasalam:
