Salam Alakum!

I was just thinking- many of us realized that not many people pay attention or reply to things Islamic. Well, I want to type up these stories to be Islamic, and make it fun to listen too. Some of these stories will be about Sally, a girl who is constantly trying to lose weight. And it does NOT refer to me!

Once Sally was reading a magazine, and found that running up and down the stairs was one the the best exsercises that would drop calories. Ever so cautious about her weight- Sally decided to give it a try.

In the evening, she took out a water bottle, sneakers, and a tray of COOKIES! "I'm bet I'll lose SO much weight!" she thought, smiling. Now, Sally DID know algebra, she knew the biggest words in the dictionary, she could mix up chemicals without making things blow up, and write a perfect essay in History. But Sally was not very bright when it came to logical thinking. Every time she came back down the stairs, she shoveled in a cookie. Run, eat, run eat, run, eat. She did that for the whole afternoon.

The next day, when Sally checked her weight, she was shocked to see that she had gained 5 pounds! "Must take a while" she thought- and again, for a whole afternoon, she ran up the stairs and ate cookies. After her 3rd flight, her mother caught her and asked her what she was doing. After Sally explained, her mom laughed. "Sally! You could run up the stairs a million times- and that wouldn't change your weight if you don't stop eating the cookies each time!"

Everyday after that, Sally started to derease the number of cookies she ate, and increased the number of times she ran up the stairs. She ended up perfectly slender- until she started eating again!!

MORAL: Why bother doing good deeds if you're going to keep over-powering them with bad ones? We should try to slowly decrease the amount of bad deeds we do, and at the same time increase our good ones!

to Allah we belong
:wasalam:,

jazaak Allah khairan.

yes we must try to decrease our evil deeds but we must not stop doing good deeds. Allah in His mercy will not make our good deeds lost. and good deeds have their blessings that they can make a person dislike bad deeds.

its so true, people dont bother replying to the islamic threads. ive noticed a decline with tti, i used to love this website, people posted so much beneficial threads but now i feel its shifted to pointless of waste of time type threads e.g was michael jackson a muslim or not. sorry i dont mean to offend anyone but that thats what i have noticed
