(SAW) & (AS)

Hello,

I was reading a book that listed (SAW) or (AS) after 'Prophet' when referring to Muhammad (PBUH).

What does (SAW) and (AS) stand for?

SAW and AS is the arabic form of Peace and Blessings be upon him, or Peace be upon him. SAW= SalaAllahu Alayhee wa salaam, AS= Alayhee Salaam
