Can you tell us a little more about this. Is it a festival, a celebration, a commemoration of an event or something else. What is the purpose, and aim of the gathering. Due to the excess in numbers, it appears to have been planned well in advance or at least was made known by the time the event was due to start.

Ulam from differnt part of world give lecture and make plan how better this ummah can do well by them self and the ummah those who yet get the massage of Islam. Ma'shallah. May Allah reward the organisers, the speakers, all those who participated in some form or another as well as the attendees. It would be wonderful if we could see events like this the world over with some regularity, effective planning and sincerity. In addition, if events such as this could lead to greater action and engagement for Muslims on a global level that would be even more productive and fruitful.

By this I mean assuming responsibility for the following issues (as well as others)-

Poverty in Muslim countries [with the creation of purely Muslim NGOs, Outreach organisations and Pressure Groups et al]

Creating an alternative UN and its sister bodies [such as the IMF] and withdrawing from the official versions

Reducing dependence on most Western Multinational organisations with the intention of full termination at a later date through alternative equivalent corporations

Creating a unified Islamic currency and economy outside of the effects and not based on the US economy [e.g. to refuse the US Dollar as the reserve currency for international transactions and trade]

The above was similar to being among a long list of discussions, programs of action and objectives for both governments and normal people as late as the 1850s in what is now Saudi Arabia, especially the Hajj season. The mission of Richard Burton, a British man, sent for this and other purposes ended the above after he travelled there (disguised as an Indian pilgrim) and spoke about it after his experiences.
