Shining examples of behaviour toward parents
"And We have commanded man to be good towards parents; his mother bore him with hardship, and delivered him with hardship; and carrying him and weaning him is for thirty months; until when he reached maturity and became forty years of age, he said, "My Lord! Inspire me to be thankful for the favours you bestowed upon me and my parents, and that I may perform the deeds pleasing to You, and keep merit among my offspring; I have inclined towards you and I am a Muslim "( Surah Al Ahqaf, ayah 15)
Ibn Amer Al Muzny called his mother on what he responded to her with a loud voice. Because of his careless, he paid for freeing two slaves.( Awdetul Hijaab, Mohammed Ibn Ismail,2/126-127,“ Wa bil walidayni ihsaneen“, 40-42)
It has been narrated that Ibn Omar, raddiallahu anhu have met one Arab man from his way to Makkah, and he saw that Abdullah Ibn Omar called him salam and gave him his donkey and his turban.When Ibn Deenar saw this ( who was aslo with them on way) asked him: „ Why are you giving him so much, Wallahi he would be pleased with little“ ?, on what Abdullah Ibn Omar answered him: „ His father was good friend to my father. I heard that Messanger of Allah sallahu alayha wa saalam said: „ The highlight of charity is that you do good to those who were good toward your parents“ (Muslim 2/1979, ; Abu Davud 5143)
Abu Hasan Ali ibn Husein ibn Ali Abu Talib, radiallahu anhu who was known as Zein Al Abidin, was very caring and gentle toward his mother. He was asked once why does he never eat with his mother, on what he answered: „ I feel afraid to take something what the eyes of my mother already saw and what she wish to take for herselfe, so if I eat with her, I would be careless toward her“ ) Al Ahbar, 3/97)
Amr Ibn Abdullah ibn Zubeir said: „My father has passed away. All I wish in my life and all I ask is that Allah subhan wa teala forgive him“ „ Birr-al- Walidaynim Hafeez Ar Tartasi, 78)
It has been narrated that Ummu Al Mumin, Aisha raddiallahu anha said that Allahs Messanger sallahu alayha wa saalam said: „ I entered in Jannah and heared someone who was reciting Quraan. I asked who is he? They answered me: „ That is Harees ibn An- Nu’man,”He was the most obidient toward his mother between all people“ ( It has been narrated from Imam Ahmad 6( 151, Abdurrazak in Al Musannaf 20119, and Al Bagavi in his book „Interpretation of Sunnah“, 13/7)
Talk ibn Habeeb was a great beliver and a Sheikh. He used to kiss his mother on face,and he never wanted to climb on the roof, under which was his mother,and he done this our of respect toward her ( Birr Al Walidayni, Hafeez Ar Tartasi, 78)
Omar Ibn Zubeir was asked „ How much your son is carefull toward you“?,on what he answered: „ My son always walk behind me when is day,and when is a night he walkes infront of me. He never climb on the roof, under which I was“ ( Al Ahbar, 3/97)
