If it's a REALLY long fatwa or articles, I just skim through it because the words are too small and it hurts my head.

Small answers are too vague while long answers are just too boring. I like in between, like one or two paragraphs

Waalaikumsalam,

For myself I feel it is better to just point out part of the fatwa which is shows the answers or point a person is making. Then post the link to the full fatwa whereby we can read it.

Salam

I don't mind long answers as long as they are completely specific to the question being asked. But too frequently (for me), someone will ask a question, and we will get loads of info on related information, but not the actual question. Then I just stop reading - I wanted to know the answer to the question, not the entire history around every single thing related to the answer.

For instance, (and I am going to make up this example), someone may post a question like "Are we allowed to eat pancakes?" And the answers that come will list all sorts of rules about what to break your fast with, which ahnd to eat with, what the Prophet ate on his trips, what to eat when breastfeeding, etc., etc. And, although many times we may at some point FIND the answer in all the long reading, many times the specific question is not answered.

Personally, I would like to have the long answer available, but perhaps a short "summary" in good, clear language clarifying the answer. For my example, I would like something along the lines of a person who looks up the answer to write: "Yes we can eat pancakes. Here is the reason why" and THEN list the entire long information.

I think with the large number of posters who are not native English speakers/writers, that would be helpful for many. The answer is given first, and then the long proofs are given second.

This is just my humble opinion.

Oh I can read long posts and long fatwas, I just don't like it if all the words are jumbled together and I usually skip Fatwas that are EXTEREMELY long, it could fit a 7-10 page article.
