Should I attend thie Eid visit cause I dont want to

Well my boss invited me and my friends to his place for eid visit. the problem is i have work tomorrow(shift work) and he lives quite far away from me. Is it haram to make up an excuse and not go to this visit ?

I know this sounds silly but if he is your boss he should know you schedule. Just tell him the truth. I have to work and you live far away.

the problem is he says its a "compulsory" eid visit haha

If it is mandatory..go to the party. He will know where you are. He is the boss. Attend.

If you are unsure speak to his secretary or speak to him directly and ask him and inform him of your schedule.

Trust me, been there done that..everytime I have had to work or go join the boss at a party...they have pointed the way to the job.
