ASAK brothers & Sisters,
I have started this thread out of my concern that whether we should understand the quran and hadith with understanding or not. While discussions on the other forums i have felt that people of madhabs . The pro-madhab people say that the great imams have already done the job of easing this religion for us. My point is if i read the quran and hadith by understanding and i find something going against my madhab. should i change my opinion after consulting good scholars or i have to stick to my madhab since the pro-madhab say that we cannot take decision of changing and their must have been some hikmah behind the ruling of our madhab. Because i think that if im trying to understand What Allah says in the quran & What our beloved prophet[pbuh] said then i have to implement it. And if i don't have to implement it its better to be a laymen and not know it.
