salam brothers and sisters

in holy quran chapter 50 verse number 32allah says "this is for everyone(means jannah)what you were promised, for everyone who turned to(allah)in sincere repentance and kept (his law) and also in some other chapter it is said that allah says that if he was to punish humans for there sins there would not be any single one living on the surface of the planet but he has given us a certain time.

what i want to know is that you see humans do make mistake such as you can say a muslim who commits a bad sin despite shirk but he knew that what is he doing is bad but doesnot realise it at that very momment but when he do come to realise on a certain time and makes a sincere repentance to allah for his sin and is totaly determined that he will not commit it for his entire life will he be definitely forgived by allah.

knowing that allah is opt forgiving and best in showing mercey.
thankyou.

Waleikum salam sister

i don't understand your question :( forgive me for that but i don't see where is located your question but this post of yours gives me the opportunity as well to ask a question

we read that nobody should tell their sins openly to people because if Allah SWT hide them , people should keep them secret
but on the other side i read the ones who sinned secretly will get double punishment on the day of Judgment as people used to think they are good while they were not

but about forgiveness , and i think that it is what you meant with your post, i think Allah SWt says Himself many times he is the Forgiver , so if someone sincerely i mean really really sincerely ask for forgiveness Allah SWt will forgive him inshallah

Allah SWt Knows the best

Waleikum Salam

Asslamo Allaikum Dear Brother,

Trying to understand your line of thinking...

The translation of the 1st verse quoted by you is:

And it will be said, `This is what was promised to you -to every one who constantly turned to God and was watchful of his actions" (50:32)

I am not familiar with second verse that you have quoted, although I have seen it being quoted by Christian missionaries a lot; can you be exact in reference.

Jazakullah Khairun

Asslamo Allaikum Brother,

Allah (SWT) is Merciful and does forgive those who sincerely turn to him & repent & feeling remorseful after committing a sin is normal (for many people)

And He is the one who accepts the repentance of His servants." [Qur’an, Surat al-Shura: 25]

Verily, Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He pleases, and whoever sets up partners with Allah in worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin [Al-QUR'aN Surah:4:48]

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said,

“Allah accepts the servant’s repentance until they take their last breath.” [Related by Tirmidhi (who deemed it sound), Ibn Maja, and Ahmad]
