Salah is more than just praying Most times these days it's spelled and pronounced Salat
But just saying prayers it certainly is not
Since true knowledge has been mixed up and lost
Humanity is paying a heavy cost
People are ridiculing what they should believe in
And committing the horrendous sin
Through ignorant omission
Comes their big commission
And they just simply don't know
What their fore parents knew not so long ago
Now back to Salah made at least five times a day
By some people trying to live the righteous way
They fall upon their faces but not to please us
But in a way similar to their Brother Jesus
And Moses before him fell upon his face
Peace on these two giant Prophets of the human race
The knowledge was lost of how They bowed in devotion
And distorted by the evil ones working on promotion
Of themselves as fleshly deities
So their egomaniacal appetites could be appeased
The people got away from Salah in day and night
Lost all connection with wrong and right
About worshipping the Creator of all
They no longer upon their faces fall
They worship in a strange land in a strange mode
They have totally lost their connecting code
But added to the insult and injury
They gather together and make mockery
Of the awakening coming in this day and time
Sisters and Brothers establishing Salah in well ordered lines
Allahu Akbar now standing tall and straight
Allahu Akbar now bending at the waist
Sami Allahu liman hamidah now standing up with grace
Allahu Akbar now falling upon the face
Allahu Akbar now sitting for a taste
Allahu Akbar now back upon the face
Allahu Akbar up to continue until completion of Salah
With complete and total devotion only to Allah
