Assalam-u-alaikum to u all bro's n sister's.....i have to questions i want to ask u all just simple one (im sorry if i posted it in the wrong section admin's)

1)what is exactly the status of women in Islam i mean i want to know who is more respected women or men coz i heard from someone that women are to be more respected (which is to be honest wonderful) but still i want to know it????i heard this a known person and the reason he gave was that the word "female/women" came after "men/male" in Quran so according to arabic dictionary the name that came in the second place which is "female/women" has more importance so how far is it true?????

2)i just heard from someone i know well today that GOD will ask a father about how he brought up his children not the mother????is it true coz my common sense says that it can't be right coz its both the parents responsibilty

1) Neither. Human beings deserve equal respect regardless of their gender.

2) If something conflicts with 'common sense' and people are claiming thats the Islaamic position, then most likely they are wrong. Why wouldn't a mother be accountable for the upbringing of her children?
