Assalamua`alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh,

Hurricane Sandy that's been hitting the East Coast of the US seems pretty bad. This could be another sign from Allaah among the `athaab that He sent down to Earth. Let us take heed in being countable of ourselves (our good deeds, our sins, our tawbah) even if we do not live there. Allahu musta`an.

To my brothers and sisters living there, stay safe. May Allaah protect you all.

When any calamity comes, even if pricked by a thorn recite:

إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ اللَّهُمَّ أَجِرْنِي فِي مُصِيبَتِي وَاخْلُفْ لِي خَيْرَاً مِنْهَا

"Definitely we are from Allah and to Him is our return. O Allah, grant reward in my calamity and grant in its place a good substitute".

We had a lot of rain, a lot of wind, but we have power. It is expected to remain like this the whole day. But, Alhumdulila I still have power.
